Epiphone advertisement (1963) Give Me the Simple Life... and a Great Guitar

Summer 1963 advertisement for Epiphone guitars, featuring Al Caiola. Caiola was a bandleader, session musician, jazz and pop guitarist who had his own Epiphone signature thinline ' Al Caiola' guitar by the end of 1963 - though, as he is pictured here with an Epiphone Casino, it is likely that his new guitar was not yet ready.

Together Al and his Epiphone make beautiful music. Exciting music! Dramatic music! Very special music! Caiola's is a great sound, ranging through the world of modern music from moonlight melodies to a rousing rocking beat.

It is interesting today that 'the simple life' could be exemplified in 1963 by lounging on a polar bear skin!
