Guitar makers have advertised in music magazines such as Down Beat, Guitar Player and very many more. Some manufacturers advertised widely (Guild, Gibson, Fender) but many more didn't and adverts are few and far between. Here are some of my favourite ads out of the ones i've seen. Hagstrom Model I Futurama Bass Body Sweden Made Electronics & Broken Pickguard Came from a playing bass. The Electronics all work except the volume pot, which was changed at some point and is just on 10 and can't be turned down. The jack has also been changed out at some point. All 4 switches and both pickups work fine. Pickguard has a crack and is missing a section that broke off on the horn area. Body is in pretty good shaped, the paint seems to have been stripped to natural at some point. ... more

Hagstrom Model I Futurama Bass-1963-Vintage BlackUp for sale, a 1960s Hagstrom Model I Bass in good playing order, but has an issue that needs to be fixed. Featuring the famous "thin fast neck with expander stretcher, " this Hagstrom has a similar feel to your favorite Fender Jazz Bass, but with a tone all its own. Features black tape-wound strings.
