Fender Telecaster bass

1970 Fender guitar and bass catalogue - page 21

Fender 1970 guitar and bass catalogue. Page 21. Details of the Fender Telecaster bass. The bass shown is in the standard Blond finish. For other colour options see the 1970 Fender color chart on page 95.

The April 1970 list price for the Telecaster Bass was $302.50 - for a right handed Blond instrument. Sunburst or a custom colour was an extra $17.50, whilst left-handed models were a further $30.

At this stage, the Telecaster bass resembles the early versions of the Fender Precision, but this would soon change; most notably a new humbucking pickup at the neck. Have a look at the redesigned Telecaster bass in the 1972 Fender catalogue.
