The Fender Mustang guitar, pictured here in Sunburst finish. Custom finishes available also include Olympic White, Competition Red and Competition Burgundy; Competition Orange had just been discontinued (last listed in the February 1972 price list).

Unlike the vast majority of guitars in this catalogue, the Mustang did not have a price increase for custom finishes: at this time $219.50 or $239.50 for a left handed guitar.
