Gibson 1958 electric guitars and amplifiers catalogue, page 16. The Les Paul range continues with details of the Les Paul Standard (described as the Les Paul guitar) and Les Paul Special. The image of the Les Paul Standard is somewhat outdated, as by 1958 these were equipped with Gibson humbuckers, rather than the cream single-coil P90s shown here. The text, however, does confirm this change.
