1965 "For the Spectacular Sound of the Times" guitar and amplifier catalog page 3

Page 3, the Gretsch White Falcon, for, as this page is titled "The Ultimate Sound of the Times". Gretsch's finest guitar is offered here in two variations, the stereo PX6137, and standard PX6136. The stereo version is pictured. These guitars are listed here at $1000 and $850 respectively; by far the most pricey instrument in the Gretsch range.

No guitar can match its eye-stopping white and gold beauty or its rainbow of tonal colors. It is the ultimate guitar. No expense has been spared to make it what it is. The guitarist who must have the best will have no other. The "White Falcon" features a slim 17" double cutaway gleaming white body of 2" thickness with 24-karat gold-plated metal parts, with multiple binding thru-out body and neck.
