Neck1 piece set mahogany, rosewood fingerboard. 20 frets, dot inlays.
HardwareChrome plated. 2 volume and 2 tone controls, pickup selector switch. Harp tailpiece.
FinishesStandard finishes: initially Cherry and later Sunburst. Custom finishes: (from 1962), Ebony Grain, Emerald Green, and Amber.

The Starfire I had just one pickup, but was otherwise identical to the Guild Starfire II
