Guild 1978 catalogue page 9

Guild 1978 catalogue page 8. Unlike other Guild solid body models which came with a choice of Guild humbucker, or Dimarzio pickups, the S-70D was Dimarzio only. the model was launched in 1978, and was new for this catalogue. The pickups are arranged in a similar manor to the Fender Stratocaster; three Dimarzio SDS-1 (Super Distortion Single coil) pickups and a five way switch. Phase and pickup bypass switches increase the array of sounds available.
