Vox Saturn IV bass V281

Hollow body electric bass with in-built effects

Bass equivalent of the Saturn V287 electric six-string. The Saturn bass was an Italian-built Vox single cutaway, without the effects circuitry that appeared in the very similar Apollo IV bass. This bass was produced at the Italian E.M.E factory, for the American market, 1967 onwards.

The following description is reproduced from the 1967 Vox: it's what's happening brochure

An exciting all new four-string Florentine cutaway bass guitar. All new easy-to-fret fast neck features VOX Double T-Bar and adjustable steel rod. Two graceful holes in matching white binding complement the arched top. Fully adjustable bridge with special arrangement for forward or backward adjustment of strings, providing perfect in-tune fretting. One volume and one tone control. Sunburst.
