Vox single coil bass pickup, scratchplate mounted

Mid sixties Eko (Italian) pickup, part 09-1526-0

This Vox bass pickup is positioned at an angle on Eko-produced ( Italian-made) Vox basses, the Vox Panther, Phantom IV and Mark IV bass guitars. On the Panther, it was positioned at an angle: slanted forwards in this case, but also backwards in some instruments. It is scratchplate-mounted, and height adjustable, but with no surround. Two metal clips slide onto each pickup mounting tab, and it is these that are threaded to take the mounting screws. This Vox bass pickup is a sealed unit; easy examination of the coils is not possible. The leads are soldered to tabs on the underside of the plastic pickup casing

RARE & Restored1968 Vox Astro IV Bass Guitar, Built In Fuzz & Active Electronics!

GRANITE FALLS, WASHINGTON, 98252, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

$895

The fairly unique violin-body Vox Astro IV was a direct descendant of the 1966 V-250 "Violin Bass " , which itself was only available for a year or so. The Astro was built with the same arched, F hole hollow body but used the very narrow neck that Rolling Stone Bill Wyman requested for his namesake teardrop-body model in 1966. By 1968 all Vox basses used this same neck design, which is about the slimmest ever fitted to a professional class bass! The Astro IV is a pretty far-out take on the ... more

Vintage Circa 1966 Vox Cougar Bass. A killer vintage Hollowbody Bass for the price. Has a slim neck that is still nice and straight. It has a chunky but narrow profile and plays great in every position. Original pickups sound amazing. They are super warm and thumpy, with a nice woody punch when you dig in.
