Seller Notes: “The guitar is in amazing condition with much less 'expected wear' than would be 'expected' for an ... “The guitar is in amazing condition with much less 'expected wear' than would be 'expected' for an instrument its age. There are 2 small areas of the neck & body where the finish has light scratching or marring of the finish. Considering its 55-year-old age, it looks & plays like a stunning 25-year-old in the prime of its life. When I bought it in 74', it already had what was later dubbed a Gibson "smile crack." I noticed a small smile-shaped bump where the head met the neck. I asked about it and was told that the guitar had a crack repaired in the neck but that it wouldn't affect it. At 16, I wanted it, 'bump' or not. A year later, Tony Iommi played it & wanted to buy it from me, 'bump' or not. It's now been 49 years and the bump hasn't changed in size or shape. The original Kluson tuners wouldn't stay in tune very long, so I changed them to Schaller Machine heads. Except for the tuners & smile crack, everything on the guitar is original. Examine all photos before purchase.”
