This early 1960s Gretsch advertisement for Gretsch guitars features bebop jazz guitarist Sal Salvador (and band) with a Gretsch Convertable 6199 archtop guitar. The Sal Salvador Big Bands's influential 'Colours in Sound' album was released in 1958.
