Would you sell your soul for a 1955 Les Paul Special - Gibson advertisement (1975)

Gibson Les Paul Special 55

Gibson advertisement (1975) Would you sell your soul for a 1955 Les Paul Special

British advert, by UK Gibson agent Selmer. The advert announces the reissue of the 1955 Les Paul Special, or Les Paul 55.

These guitars were built in 1974, and obviously still selling into 1975.

This guitar was intended to be a limited edition instrument, but further instruments were produced between 1976 and 1979, however improved slightly, having a separate bridge and tailpiece - rather than the wraparound bridge/tailpiece of the original and 1974 version.
