Gibson Citation

1975 Gibson Electric Acoustics catalogue page 4

Details of the Gibson Citation electric acoustic guitar, continued on page 5. See also other Citation catalogue appearances.

The Citation was, without doubt, the finest guitar Gibson ever produced. The price for 1975 was $3749 (US zone 1) which was actually over twice the cost of the next most expensive Gibson, the still incredibly fine Super 400-CES at $1499. Although listed for the last time in the 1975 electric acoustics catalogue, Citations have been produced in tiny numbers in the seventies, eighties and beyond.
