Page 1 features just one guitar, the Chet Atkins Country Gentleman. The Country Gent had a 1965 list price of $595.

The handsome showpiece of the fabulous Gretsch Chet Atkins line - the new Slim Country Gentleman with the styling and tone that have made it the most desired electric guitar in the world. Slim 17" Electrotone hollow body with simulated "F" holes, new double cutaway, 2" thickness, for ease of playing.

It also details several Gretsch features: muffler (mute), standby switch, padded back etc. Gretsch was pretty proud of these features, and ran a series of advertisements in the early 1960s highlighting them.

The guitar is all stock . .. fantastic quality. the only issue is that overtime The binding gets loose and as you can see somebody had used a little Scotch tape to hold down the binding in several places this can easily be permanently fixed or left the way it is I never really even think about it I just know the guitar plays great and has been a one owner guitar since 1967... more
