Specifications for the Fender Precision bass. The instrument shown is in natural finish with a maple neck. For other colour options see the 1972 Fender color chart on page 68.

In early 1972, the Precision was priced between $293.50 and $369.50, depending on finish, dexterity and neck options. $293.50 was for a right-handed bass in the standard Sunburst finish, with a rosewood fingerboard. Optional extras include: left-handed instruments, a maple fretboard, a narrower neck, and a custom finish. The bass illustrating this page would have cost $321.50.
