Fender 1969 guitar and bass catalog. Page 18. Specifications for Fender's hollow body Coronado guitar and Coronado bass range, with accompanying image on page 19. The guitar range consisted three models: the single pickup Coronado I, dual pickup Coronado II, and dual pickup twelve string Coronado XII. The bass range had just two models following the same naming system: the single pickup Coronado Bass I and dual pickup Coronado Bass II. In fact, the single pickup Coronado I and Coronado Bass I were close to discontinuation, and this was their final catalog appearance. The Coronados were available in more finish options than most other Fender guitars, including the striking Wildwood and (for the first time) Antigua finishes depicted on page 15.
Prices for these models varied by finish, and there were a lot of options. US list prices in May 1969 were as follows:
Coronado I (not listed)
Coronado II $335.50 (Sunburst or Cherry, DuPont finishes 5%) extra, $449.50 (Shadow Red, Green, or Blue; Antigua), $469.50 (Wildwood). Tremolo $55 extra
Coronado XII $469.50 (Sunburst or Cherry, DuPont finishes 5%), $449.50 (Antigua), $549.50 (Wildwood)
Coronado Bass I (not listed)
Coronado Bass II $469.50 (Sunburst or Cherry, DuPont finishes 5%), $499.50 (Antigua), $524.50 (Wildwood)
Additionally, maple fretboards were optionally available at a 10% premium (except 12-string), and gold hardware at a further 15% premium (all models).
