The Guild D-35 was described as follows in the 1968 Guild catalog
Built with Guild's traditional attention to quality details, with special emphasis on wood selection and finish. This 41 1/2" guitar has a beautifully proportioned body, 15 3/4 " wide, 20" long and 5" deep, with 4-ply shell binding. Fingerboard is 1 3/4" at the nut. Has Guild's fast-action mahogany neck with adjustable rod, rosewood fingerboard and pearloid position markers. Deluxe nickel-plated non-slip pegs and fine Guild Strings.
