Late 1970s and early 1980s Guild DP-8 single coil passive bass guitar pickup, as used in the Guild B-301 | Guild B-302, Guild X-701 and X-702, Guild SB-202 and Guild SB-203 basses.
Part number 90678. Described as follows in the 1978 Guild catalog:
Jet-black Guild bass pick-up, with new wiring and coil placement, has two pole pieces per string for even output.
These single coil pickups have a typical DC resistance of around 9.6kΩ.

The pickup has eight pole pieces and two slotted mounting screws. Shown here with the scratchplate still in situ.

The pickup is mounted to the guitar body (not the scratchplate) with two bolts that attach to a brass plate, itself screwed to the body.

The brass pickup mounting plate. The bolts are 2 x 25mm brass(?) slotted pan head (UNC no.3, 48tpi). The brass plate has dimensions 2 3/4" x 7/8" x 1/8", attached to the body with 2 x 1/2" Phillips flat head screws.


The pickup's black cover has dimensions 95.2mm x 29.7mm x 14.9mm.
