Hofner was equal to the challenge and developed this new instrument truly worthy of top musicians. Hofner original features include the violin shape of Paul McCartney's bass, transistor-powered built-in flip-fuzz and treble boost, special needle bearing smooth vibrato, spring loaded machine heads for ultra-fine tuning and new microphone pickups with the highest degree of evenness, sensitivity and solid projection. Electronic circuit includes 4 controls for adjustment of volume, tone, treble and fuzz: a pickup selector switch; a treble and fuzz selector; a treble and fuzz push on-off switch. Finished in shaded brown with arched spruce top and maple back.
