Starting with a six string guitar to replace the Epiphone Casino, the EPI 9520 (initially known in the USA as the Epiphone 5102T, but later known worldwide as the Epiphone EA-250) was a fully hollow body electric-acoustic guitar, produced by Matsumoku for Epiphone between 1970 and 1975.
The EPI 9520 was described as follows:
