Launched in 1960 as the Futurama II solid, (or simply Futurama II or Futurama 2), this guitar was imported from Czechoslovakian builder CSHN, and distributed in the UK and Commonwealth by Selmer. By the end of 1963, Selmer were distributing Hagstrom guitars, and the Hagstrom II was marketed as the Futurama II De Luxe. At this point, the Futurama II Solid was renamed the Futurama Duo.
