I have owned this guitar since 1970. All parts are original except the bridge (I assume) since it is plastic and non-adjustable. I purchased the guitar at a small rural music store and the owner had fitted the guitar with a trapeze metal bridge (I am not sure why). About twenty years ago I had some maintenance done at a different music store and they recommended removing the trapeze and they may have installed the plastic bridge then. The neck is straight and the action is excellent. The guitar ... more

This is an early 1965 Gibson Southern Jumbo (SJ) in good original condition. The fingerboard width at the stringnut is 1 5 / 8-inches. The original finish shows 60-years of steady playing wear. There's various nicks and dings and a lot of finish wear, especially along the body edges, and heavy-moderate finish checking. There are three cracks on the back near the edge that apparently have never been repaired. They appear stable, probably secured by the back braces. There's a short piece of ... more
