Page 33 shows two twelve string acoustic flat tops, the B-45-12 (pictured in Cherry Sunburst) and B-25-12 (Natural top). Either model was available in Cherry Sunburst or Natural (with Cherry rims and back). The B-45-12 was bigger than the B-25-12 with a 16 1/4" body width
Twelve strings with their special tuning and reinforced tone provide a unique guitar sound - favored by singers, effective in combos and solo. The first three double strings are tuned in unison; the last three in octaves. A jumbo size instrument with excellent resonance and response and traditional Gibson tone and quality.
The B-25-12 was 14 3/4" wide, with the same dimensions as the B-25 and LG series guitars (shown on page 31).
A traditional grand concert size instrument with fine resonance and response - offers Gibson quality and workmanship at an amazingly low price.
These guitars had an April 1966 list price (zone 1) of: B-45-12 $275; B-45-12 $205.
