The solid body Jet series continues from the previous page, with the Gretsch Astro Jet making it's only catalog appearance. This odd looking guitar has a charm of it's own, but was not commercially successful, and was deleted by 1967. Check out the wonderfully weird headstock design with 4x2 tuning key layout. 1965 list price $325. There is actually a full-color image of this striking new guitar on the inside back-cover of this catalog.
Three variants of the Corvette are described, all in Cherry Red finish. A Single pickup non-vibrato model, PX6132 is listed at $150; with vibrato (PX6134) this rises to $190, whilst the dual pickup vibrato model, PX6135 is listed at $240. Note, by the time of the next 1968 Gretsch catalog, only the latter is available, though with new headstock design and Shaded Sunburst finish.
