The 1982 Guild electric guitars catalog was a full colour, 16 page brochure of Guild electric acoustic and solid body guitars and basses available from the company circa 1982. Dimensions 217mm x 281mm. The first three pages show a number of classic Guild electric acoustics; guitars that have been in the Guild line for many years, such as the Starfire, Artist Award, X-500, X-175 and CE-100. Beyond this, the range of solid body guitars and basses is almost entirely new - at least not previously featured in a Guild catalog. The S-300 (and similarly styled guitars and basses) are all gone, in favour of a number of more generic models (such as the S-25 and S-250), and some more 'extreme' ones (such as the X-79 Skyhawk and X-82 Nova.)
The 1982 Guild guitars catalog featured twelve distinct guitar models, and five basses. Most are making their catalog debut on these pages. The following guitars are shown. Click on the images for full size versions, or click on the model names below for more about each instrument.
