The Hofner President and Senator had previously been available as both full body and thin models in either Blonde or Brunette finishes (for example, see the 1968-1969 Selmer catalogue. These models were being phased out and only some variants are listed here, with even less included in the 1971 Selmer price list. By the price list of August 1972, and the 1972 Selmer catalogue, all President and Senator models were discontinued.
