Vox Mark XII Acoustic / Spitfire

Hollow body teardrop electric twelve string guitar

After Vox produced the Vox Mark VI and Vox Mark XII solid bodies in the early 1960s, there was enough demand for hollow-body versions. These were labelled as the Mark VI acoustic and Mark XII acoustic in the US, and the Vox Spitfire in the UK (not to be confused by the solid body Vox Spitfire already sold in the US).

The following description comes from the 1967 Vox catalogue

Following on the success of the Spitfire 6, VOX have added a 12-string model to this range. The same superb styling, the same unique features, mark this as an outstanding development in guitar design.
