Columbus electric guitars were produced for UK-distributor Fletcher, Coppock and Newman by Japanese manufacturer Chushin gakki. Early models were not especially derivative, but by the mid-1970s, these guitars were almost exclusively detailed (but significantly cheaper) copies of Gibson and Fender guitars popular at that time.
The guitars shown here are model 10/F (Fender Precision copy in natural finish, model (Gibson Marauder copy), model N85S (Sunburst Gibson Les Paul copy), and N82 (sunburst Fender Stratocaster copy.
