Rare vintage 1973 Rickenbacker 4001 4 string bass guitar in mapleglo with checkerboard binding. It is in nice condition for its age, overflowing with mojo, reminiscent of the Fender custom shop relic models. I have owned this bass since the mid 1990s and it has been in my collection ever since, and has never been gigged while in my possession. Got in 1982. Third or fourth owner. Was owned by some local punk rocker at some point, whom changed the tuning knobs because he felt the original was not holding the strings (at least the story told to me). And responsible most of the ware and tear. Because I thought I was Chris Squire and added the pre amp, and is why there is a little switch next to the volume knob. Yes it all works and sounds great.
